'I have engaged Mahligai Cinta for my engagement gubahan on 25 Dec 2010. In fact, as the 1st assignment, i have entrusted mima to the decorating of the 'dulangs'. I'm definitely impressed with her work, as she understood my wants and she dealt well with my fickle-mindedness. Nevertheless, her artwork, despite the first time, deserved a two thumbs! I believe if she's given more assignments, she'll do a good job.. Kudos to you, my fren! all the best!'

Trial & Error

As promise i have done a trial on my first Sirih Junjung...yeay! Well 0f coz there is still lots of improvement can be done thou. Tot of using different colours of gerberas but too bad only 1 colour left, so i have to use 2 different type of flowers instead.

Good news...Since i have found a warehouse selling plants and fresh flowers, i have decided that i will also using fresh flowers for my Gubahan Hantaran. Sirih

Zaman nenek moyang kita dulu, hidup mereka tidak akan lengkap jika tidak menyemai sirih. Selain menjadi kudapan harian, sirih adalah pembuka bicara. Sirih adalah lambang hormat yg mengalu alukan tetamu. Apa apa pun kegunaan harian daun sirih, maksud dan lambang yg dibawamya dalam istiadat perkhawinan melayu masih kekal hingga hari ini. Daripada merisik, meminang, menghantar tanda atau bertunang hinggalah majlis akad dan bersanding. Semuanya dimulakan dengan sirih. Sirih dianggap sebagai penyeri majlis dan pemula bicara serta pelengkap majlis.

Walaupun zaman anak muda sekarang tk reti makan sirih tapi tk salahkan kita kekalkan adat istiadat melayu kita sendiri....

Jadi sekarang ni saya dalam process untuk belajar membuat sirih junjung...untuk mencantikkan lagi, saya akan mengunakan bunga hidup. Jadi tunggu iye.....
